2 Cool Band started in 1997, creating a unique mixture of dance cover tunes from funk, soul, disco, and classic rock.

Chuck Ritchie, DrummerToday, the band plays every genre...from classic rock, pop, disco, Motown and jazz through current tunes from Bruno Mars, Meghan Trainor, Taylor Swift and more! Chuck Ritchie had a vision for a high-energy Dance Band.  Using his knowledge of regional and local musicians, he started the journey of putting together one of Central Kentucky’s most diverse dance bands. In addition to being the band boss, the drummer extraordinaire, and the "hoopty" equipment truck driver-- Chuck also works as an airplane parts engineer for a government contract company. In his spare time, he runs sound for other music events throughout the region.

Over the years, this band has traveled thousands of miles together throughout Kentucky and surrounding states. 2 Cool Band was a regular at the Springs Inn, Bogarts, Choe’s Pub, Gator’s, Hemmingway’s, Goshin’s Tavern, Banana’s Tavern, Jim Porter’s, Cooter Brown’s, The Cue, Argosy Casino, Toaster’s, Lansdowne Club, Squire’s, and Grand Victoria.

We've played nearly every request song you can imagine....from irish drinking songs, to Buffett-beach songs, a little rap, and line-dance songs! We've got some hilarious memories and we have a blast playing music! We also play private parties throughout Central Kentucky.

The current makeup of the band includes the vocals of Jeana Pillion, John Scott on Guitar and Vocals, Rob Phillips on Guitar and Vocals, Mike Faulkner on Bass and Keyboards, Chuck Ritchie on Drums and Vocals, and Lee Thomas on Keyboards and Vocals. Steve Wasson is the sound engineer.

The original founding members of 2 Cool included Chuck Ritchie, Dan Sandusky, Carrie Johnson, Gregg Danhires, and Lee Thomas. Over the course of next seventeen years, the band had the talents of the following members, Rob Phillips, Dave Ragland, Cliff Hurst, Bruce Jones, Ed King, Neal Patterson, Tracey Krandel, Rick Waddle, Pamela Vest, Tim Linkous and Mike Murray.
